The Legend of Donald Duck

On June 9, 1934, a sailor duck with a temper and unintelligible speech made his debut in The Wise Little Hen. Walt Disney had heard voice actor Clarence Nash perform a "duck voice" and immediately knew he had something special.

Donald Fauntleroy Duck went on to become Disney's most prolific character, appearing in over 190 films - more than Mickey Mouse himself! His hot-tempered nature, his unlucky streak, his sailor suit, and his unmistakable voice made him beloved worldwide.

Today marks 92 years since that first appearance. WAK WAK WAK!
