A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Small Web
"In many of the more relaxed civilizations on the Outer Eastern Rim of the Galaxy,
the Hitchhiker's Guide has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Galactica
as the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom."
March 11, 1952 - May 11, 2001
Douglas Noël Adams was born in Cambridge, England. At 6'5" he was often described as "the tallest writer in the world." He was passionate about technology (especially Apple Macintosh), endangered species, tea, and procrastination.
He once said: "I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by."
Adams died suddenly of a heart attack on May 11, 2001, at age 49, in Santa Barbara, California. He was working out at a gym. He left behind his wife Jane and daughter Polly.
