Description
An ephemeral annual appearing only during specific astronomical events. Heart-shaped leaves with downy undersides and serrated margins.
Blooms change color as they age, from white through pink to purple, colored dawn pink. Blooms at dawn on equinoxes.
Habitat
Appears in gardens that have been tended with love for generations.
Traditional Uses
The root makes a mordant dye ranging from grey to silver depending on preparation.
