Description
A creeping groundcover spreading by underground rhizomes. Thick, succulent leaves store moisture and have a bluish bloom.
Large, solitary blooms open at dusk and close before dawn, colored copper orange. Blooms at the summer solstice.
Habitat
Found only near standing stones and ancient earthworks.
Traditional Uses
The sap was used to make a temporary ink that fades over weeks.
Folklore
Believed to mark the boundaries between the seen and unseen worlds.
