Description

A parasitic species drawing nutrients from host trees through haustoria. Feathery, finely divided leaves resembling green lace.

Flowers are small, star-shaped, blooming in umbels of 12-20, colored moss green. Blooms after long silences.

Habitat

Grows in the shadow of libraries and places where books are kept.

Traditional Uses

An infusion was used as a hair rinse for shine and strength.

Folklore

Legend says it first grew where a falling star touched earth.
