Description

An epiphytic grower attaching to bark and stone without rooting in soil. Foliage consists of deeply lobed palmate leaves with purple venation.

Orchid-like blooms with intricate markings that guide pollinators, colored honey amber. Blooms when certain birds sing.

Habitat

Colonizes disturbed ground, often the first to return after fire.

Traditional Uses

An infusion was used as a hair rinse for shine and strength.

Folklore

Legend says it first grew where a falling star touched earth.
