Description
A parasitic species drawing nutrients from host trees through haustoria. Needle-like foliage arranged in spirals along the stem.
Blooms change color as they age, from white through pink to purple, colored ember red. Blooms only in leap years.
Habitat
Found only near standing stones and ancient earthworks.
Traditional Uses
None recorded - this plant seems to have escaped human attention until now.
Folklore
Planted on graves to help the departed find peace.

Best observed in early morning when dew collects on the leaves.
