Description
An ephemeral annual appearing only during specific astronomical events. Heart-shaped leaves with downy undersides and serrated margins.
Tubular flowers attract long-tongued pollinators with deep nectaries, colored pale silver. Blooms only in leap years.
Habitat
Appears in gardens that have been tended with love for generations.
Traditional Uses
Dried flowers were burned as incense during ceremonies.
