Description

A creeping groundcover spreading by underground rhizomes. Heart-shaped leaves with downy undersides and serrated margins.

Composite flower heads resemble small moons with ray and disc florets, colored twilight blue. Blooms when certain birds sing.

Habitat

Found in ancient forests where the canopy blocks all but dappled light.

Traditional Uses

None recorded - this plant seems to have escaped human attention until now.
