Description
A shrubby perennial with woody stems and aromatic foliage. Variegated foliage with irregular cream and green patterns.
Tiny florets cluster in dense spherical heads atop tall stalks, colored deep violet. Blooms during thunderstorms.
Habitat
Grows in the shadow of libraries and places where books are kept.
Traditional Uses
The root makes a mordant dye ranging from grey to silver depending on preparation.
Folklore
Planted on graves to help the departed find peace.

Resembles Lostreed.
