Description

An epiphytic grower attaching to bark and stone without rooting in soil. Compound pinnate leaves with 7-13 leaflets arranged alternately.

Papery bracts surround insignificant true flowers, colored pearl white. Blooms after the first frost.

Habitat

Requires the specific mycorrhizal networks of old-growth woodland.
