Description
An epiphytic grower attaching to bark and stone without rooting in soil. Needle-like foliage arranged in spirals along the stem.
Tiny florets cluster in dense spherical heads atop tall stalks, colored copper orange. Blooms during thunderstorms.
Habitat
Native to nowhere, found everywhere - a cosmopolitan wanderer.

None recorded - this plant seems to have escaped human attention until now.
Folklore
Children believed it could reveal hidden paths through forests.
