Description

A climbing vine that seeks moonlight, turning its leaves toward the night sky. Foliage consists of deeply lobed palmate leaves with purple venation.

Bell-shaped flowers hang in nodding racemes, colored pale silver. Blooms during thunderstorms.

Habitat

Requires the specific mycorrhizal networks of old-growth woodland.

Traditional Uses

An infusion was used as a hair rinse for shine and strength.

Folklore

Said to be beloved by bees from hives that produce the clearest honey.
