Description

A shrubby perennial with woody stems and aromatic foliage. Leaves are translucent and veined with gold, visible when backlit.

Tiny florets cluster in dense spherical heads atop tall stalks, colored shadow purple. Blooms when specific stars align.

Habitat

Grows exclusively in the cracks of old stone walls and ruins.

Traditional Uses

The sap was used to make a temporary ink that fades over weeks.

Folklore

Children believed it could reveal hidden paths through forests.
