DRAGON
Draco
The Dragon is the greatest of all monsters, combining the wings of a Bat, the body of a Serpent, and the fire of a volcano. It hoards treasure not from greed but from instinct, sleeping upon gold as a Cat sleeps upon cushions. Dragons guard their hoards for centuries, knowing every coin. The Dragon's blood is poison, yet bathing in it grants invulnerability. Its breath melts armor and stone alike. Dragons were once more common, but saints and heroes have slain many - St. George, Sigurd, Beowulf, and countless forgotten knights. Whether Dragons are evil by nature or merely by reputation is debated; some cultures revere them as bringers of rain and symbols of imperial power.
